Tutoring Schedule
Calculator Rental Policy & Timeline: Calculator rentals were held on Friday, August 13 and Monday, August 16. If you did not rent a calculator at that time and would still like do to so, you will have one more opportunity. The math department will rent calculators again on September 8 during lunch periods, for the first 30 minutes of each lunch. At this time, rentals will be open to any student, in good standing (no outstanding fines with the school), enrolled in Integrated Algebra I, Accelerated Integrated Algebra I, Integrated Geometry, Accelerated Integrated Geometry, Integrated Algebra 2, Accelerated Integrated Precalculus, Advanced Algebra & Trigonometry, AP Statistics and AP Calculus. In order to rent a calculator, a student must have a copy of the rental agreement signed by his/her parent/guardian, $25 payable by cash or check and a picture id (preferably school ID). AP Calculus students will rent TI-89 calculators as available; everyone else will rent TI-83 or TI-83+ calculators.
Extracurricular Activities: In addition to the courses taught within the department, we offer two extracurricular activities for students, Math Team and Mu Alpha Theta. Mrs. Cherie McAdams sponsors the math club; see her in 5.342 for more information. Mrs. Ashley Muck sponsors Mu Alpha Theta, which is a nationally recognized mathematics honor society. See Mrs. Muck in 5.242 for more information.
